In big social media news this week, Facebook announced they have bought popular animated graphic startup Giphy for a deal estimated at around £330 million. Giphy is used on other social media platforms not owned by Facebook, such as Twitter and Snapchat, but they have said that it will still be available to these platforms should they wish to use it. https://bit.ly/3ghHZK6

Asda has started the trial of ‘virtual queueing’, in an attempt to make a lot of shoppers feel more safe when they pop out to get their groceries. The trial includes customers logging into a queue remotely and waiting in their car before entering the store. On top of this, Asda have extended the capacity of their Food Box delivery for vulnerable customers and expanded their delivery slots so more people can now get the food and drink they require. https://bit.ly/2zkSUSt
