Following the recent government advice that we should work from home and avoid social gatherings, it’s easy for people to feel cooped up and wanting fresh air, so The National Trust has announced that it’ll keep a number of its gardens open and free to let people get out and get the fresh air they want ️


British brewery BrewDog are helping out during the COVID-19 pandemic, by making free hand sanitiser in their distillery up in Scotland. In a social media post, they said, “We are determined to do everything we can to try and help as many people as possible stay safe. It’s time to keep it clean.”


In these uncertain times, the NHS is expected to be stretched to beyond its full capacity, as will the workers. To help with this tough period, Pret are offering free hot drinks and 50% off all food to all NHS workers to thank them for all of their hard work and keep them going through the pandemic ☕


Supermarket chain Iceland has been opening one hour earlier this week to allow older shoppers to buy their goods when it is quieter amid the outbreak. People all across the UK have been stockpiling in anticipation of a potential lockdown, so Iceland’s initiative has been helping older people get the goods they need


Football clubs have been responding to coronavirus by donating food to homeless people. Last week, with all of the matchday food already ordered, Aston Villa, Brighton and Fulham made sure it didn’t go to waste and made a gesture that will benefit hundreds ⚽
