It’s been full steam ahead this week at P1C as we set to work on exciting new projects! We’ve been working our magic on social media campaigns, finalising website designs and prepping for upcoming events.
Here’s what we’ve had our eye on this week:
Sir David Adjaye made history after being the first black architect to be awarded the royal gold medal by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) since the award began 173 years ago. It is one of the world’s highest accolades for architecture and is a testament of his contradictory and courageous work; we can’t wait to see more!
Founded by Paola Antonelli and Alice Rawsthorn, Design Emergency began as an Instagram Live series during the Covid-19 pandemic but has since turned into a global wake-up call. They believe design is a powerful tool that can help tackle many worldwide issues, such as the climate crisis, that we face today. Check out the link to read the co-founders’ favourite design responses to the ecological crisis.
Instagram celebrated it’s milestone 10th birthday this week! Yes, Instagram is ten years old. To mark the occasion, Instagram has unveiled a range of updates including longer clips and improved editing to Reels, merging Facebook and Instagram messaging as well as expanding its e-commerce tools to IGTV, stories, IG Live and Reels. The new functions go to show just how far Instagram has come as a social media platform and is likely to keep evolving to meet user demands.
This week’s tip was all about nailing your copywriting game! Pinpoint your details, write for your audience and say more with less.
